J'ai ces photos du Tokyo Cycle Mode depuis l'hiver 2010… Mais je voulais quand même les partager avant l'édition 2011 qui arrive à grand pas. I am devastated to read about the Sekido Bashi Flea Market two days too late. I've been trying to find this type of event ever since I got here in September.
I'm dying to get on the road, but as I am a poor research student living in Tokyo, I have limited funds. So, I was wondering- do you have any advice on how I can procure a used bicycle? Ideally, I would love to join the single-speed/fixie craze, but understand that as it's in full boom I probably won't find any steals. Maybe a used high quality road bike would work? Fuji, Miyata or Nishiki?

You have also the option to buy a second hand fuji for example, I guess it's possible to find some at less than 40000 yen (full mounted bike this time ). But if your budget is about 15000/20000 yen...it will be tuffer.
Moreover one paramater is important : your height... for example I am 182 cm tall and use 56cm frames... Pist bike with that size are less numerous and then more expensive (often) :/
