AN OTHER DAY IN HAKONE (2)
My first article on this blog was about Hakone. It was summer at that time.
We went over there again in November to see the colors of automn and it really worth it. First, as usual we took the Tozan train from Hakone Yumoto.

This one drove us up in the mountain to our first destination : The Open Air Museum.

This is a great place with modern and contemporary art collections. Here are some photos of the outdoor exhibit area.

The mood reminds me of the 60's series : The Prisoner!

There is also an indoor space for a Picasso Collection where we can see different phases in time/style of its art.

Here the people are taking a feet bath from onsen water :

Then we took the rope-way to reach Owakudani (大涌谷) where the specialty is the eggs boiled from the volcano heat.

It makes the eggs black but they keep a usual taste. There you can have a lunch, a good Oden (ãŠã§ã‚“) for example!

We continued with the rope-way to the terminus Togendai (桃æºå°).

From here you can take a boat to go to Moto-Hakone.

We decided instead to go the Lalique museum (where pictures are not allowed). Lalique was a famous french glass and jewels designer and for some reasons (that I don't know), Hakone has a quite good collection of his work.
It was the last stop of the day before to go back home with the "Romance car".
NB : If you go to Hakone : take the free pass you will save some money.

Anyway.., planning to take a one day trip to Hakone later this year, just wondering how long do you take to travel around Hakone using the train and cable car? bcoz, we want to spend sometimes at Yunessun spa too.. so, just wondering if we'll have ample time in Yunessun hehe... Thx a bunch for those interesting stories abt Japan!
