MY FIXIE QUEST (PART THREE) (3)




Today I visited "Sexon Super Peace". It's a fixed gear bicycle shop (but also for some surf stuff) in Shinsen (神泉) in Shibuya Ku. It's easy to find, you can walk from Shibuya Station, it will take about 20mn or you can use the Keio line from Shibuya to the next station, Shinsen(2mn) and walk 5mn. I want to thank the staff who let me stay and take many pictures (well it's also a good PR for them...). Though I did not buy anything but the last COG magazine...100yens = nothing... But during the time I was there a guy ordered his bike, a Nagasawa, the business seems good. They have really interesting parts for the fixed gear and many frames and mounted bikes from abroad.

The frames prices start at about 80000yens for what I've seen and go the double or triple for those coming from far or really old! For example A 1973 bike is sold more than 300000 yens!

I liked these old saddles but I don't think they are for sell (but I did not ask...).

So if you intend to put this shop on your list during your next trip to Japan, prepare the yens! This shop can be heaven for your eyes and hell for your wallet! Guys from Euro zone are quite lucky with the rate exchange right now, I think you can bring back home some nice japanese parts for a reasonable price.

Hi,

I am from the tiny island of Singapore and I happen to chance upon your blog in regards to sexon pista. And i wanna thank you for putting up all the pictures of the shop! Couldn't help drooling looking at the pictures.

I am crazy over fixie here in singapore, but we just have pretty standard stuff here. I am saving up for a trip to tokyo this october and i wanna save up and get a njs frame for myself! Just fingers cross they still have big frames cos am quite a big guy.

Thanks anyway for the pictures and if you do happen to drop by sexonpista or dreamworks, please snap away so that i can continue drooling over here in singapore and have a rough idea of what i wanna get man !

浜バイク：夜の船のパーティ

Today I spent the day in Yokohama near the Symbol Tower, deep in the port of Yokohama where took place the Geared Up event.A kind of race for pro messengers supported by Red Bull and other brands for rewards. Track Stand contest on a boat: what a great idea! 浜バイク - 日中

This is the "Photo report" from last week bicycle event in Yokohama. (announced here last month). A very good opportunity to see cool bikes of any kind; of course I got particularly my eyes on the pista ones.The classics Kalavinka, 3Rensho, Nagasawa (etc..) were well represented.But also modern style like Starfuckers.Momo Iro Fuji Track!First time I tried the Bern helmets... 夜ライドと横浜の自転車のお店

Saturday evening I took the Feather for a ride in Yokohama, a little bit everywhere from Minato Mirai to the heights of Yamate.It was a very pleasant night.I took the Nikon D5000 with me and shoot few pics.
