A little bit more than one month since my last article of the "Everyday Life in Japan" serie. So prepare for a big mix of photos!

Let's start with some shots taken at Daikanyama.

Everyday life in Japan

It's a quite fashionable place with many shops and some interesting architecture.

Everyday life in Japan

I really like the night shots we can do with the Nikon D5000.

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

Do you remember this one, I already took it from an other point of view.

Everyday life in Japan

Yep, hair salon have to be fancy too!

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

Let's have a dinner in Yutenji, a very nice and peaceful neighborhood, good to place to live I think, expensive though...

Everyday life in Japan

What would you choose?

Everyday life in Japan

Would you enjoy some sea weed? I got used to it and it's very healthy.

Everyday life in Japan

Anywhere I go, I can find a cool fixed gear :)

Everyday life in Japan

On the way back to the station, a Koban (police box), I wonder what the vertical tube on their bikes is for...

Everyday life in Japan

A jump to Yokohama not far from home with a local matsuri :

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

Wifey catching goldfish : a popular game here, the "spoon" to catch them is made of a thin paper, so you have to be quick and careful to catch some fish before the paper si destroyed.

Morning walking, time to put out the futon, this family found an unusual way to dry them...

Everyday life in Japan

A taiko show by kids.

Kids after their Sunday baseball game (here it's said : hyakyu) :

Everyday life in Japan

Sudden food craving : missing the good doner kebap from France (yeah I know it's from Turkey food but still very popular in France). The ones we have here in Japan are quite different so I ended up to cook it myself! (with a little (big) help from wifey:)

(Of course the best ones I had were in Istanbul...I'd like to visit again this city)

Everyday life in Japan

I can tell you it was good!

Our micro-garden :

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

YEAH some berries! (4?...)

Everyday life in Japan

New born spiders : they are actually less than one millimeter...

Everyday life in Japan

Yokohama : a fuzzy shot from the iPhone, sorry, I did not have the D5000 at this time...too bad... They are carrying a Mikoshi (portable shrine)

Everyday life in Japan

Kit Kat : special Yokohama edition! For the 150th anniversary of its overture to the world. They chose a salty caramel taste : very good and better than some of their strange previous experiences...

Let's take some altitude : an other iPhone shot from the big wheel in Yokohama (this is of course the LandMark Tower (300m)).

Everyday life in Japan

Back to the ground, one of the first summer day : nice way to escape the heat :)

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

You know you are in Japan when you reach the Ultraman train station... I forgot the actual name of the place...

Everyday life in Japan

Everyday life in Japan

This dude was still living in the ocean few hours before, very beautiful blue, and very good taste!^_^

Everyday life in Japan

Talking about fish, I had the pleasure to meet some cousins of my wife and they welcomed us with a great sushi lunch, うまい!

Everyday life in Japan

One last food photo, an unusual sashimi during a "communication party" with co-workers :

Everyday life in Japan

This is raw chicken, a first for me! I was not very tempted at first, but actually with the soya sauce it tasted almost like tuna (which is also called "sea chicken", so the loop is done...).

I hope you enjoyed this random mix, next episode next month!

These pictures are PHENOMENAL!! Oh, LOVED seeing them all. This is really my first glance at Japan living.

Raw chicken? I could not have done that! We are scared of that back here in the US! I cannot imagine it tasting like Tuna!

Thanks for sharing! I look forward to seeing more!

Raw chicken?? Raw seafood is bad enough but that would make me chuck! I love how the Japanese present their food but find eating live fish too cruel.

Great set of pictures. I really wish my camera was decent enough to take great twilight shots like that. By the way, the seaweed is called "umibudo" "sea grapes".
