My first article on this blog was about Hakone. It was summer at that time.

We went over there again in November to see the colors of automn and it really worth it. First, as usual we took the Tozan train from Hakone Yumoto.

This is a great place with modern and contemporary art collections. Here are some photos of the outdoor exhibit area.

The mood reminds me of the 60's series : The Prisoner!

There is also an indoor space for a Picasso Collection where we can see different phases in time/style of its art.

Then we took the rope-way to reach Owakudani (大涌谷) where the specialty is the eggs boiled from the volcano heat.

It makes the eggs black but they keep a usual taste. There you can have a lunch, a good Oden (おでん) for example!

We continued with the rope-way to the terminus Togendai (桃源台).

From here you can take a boat to go to Moto-Hakone.

We decided instead to go the Lalique museum (where pictures are not allowed). Lalique was a famous french glass and jewels designer and for some reasons (that I don't know), Hakone has a quite good collection of his work.
It was the last stop of the day before to go back home with the "Romance car".

NB : If you go to Hakone : take the free pass you will save some money.
